Big Fat Shakin – eine volle Dosis Rock n Roll, ein Feuerwerk an saftigen Hits, eine irre Show und unbändige Spiellaune. Das Quartett präsentiert Ihnen eindrucksvoll Rockabilly, Rock n ́Roll, Surf und Rockklassiker im 50’s-Gewand. Mit Witz und Ironie bitten Big Fat Shakin zum Tanz. Seit mittlerweile 18 Jahren ist Big Fat Shakin dafür bekannt, mit ihrem vielfältigen Mix jedes Publikum abzuholen- egal ob Rockabilly-Fan oder nicht. Es zuckt in den Beinen und man muss einfach mitsingen.
Ein Konzert von Big Fat Shakin lässt keine Wünsche offen. Angefangen von den Klassikern der
50er Jahre, Brian Setzer- Hits bis zu Songs von Roxette, den Foo Fighters, die sich hier im
Rockabilly-Kleid wiederfinden und ordentlich mitmischen – die Abwechslung macht’s! Mit Energie, Spaß und vor allem Bühnenpräsenz schlagen sie gern eine musikalische Brücke und
fordern damit ihr Publikum. So auch auf ihrem letzten Album „Woatamakaa“ (2019) mit
ausschließlich eigenen Songs. „Woatamakaa“ spannt eine große bunte Schleife um Rockabilly,
Soul, Rock, 60’s Beat und punkigen Swing!
Die Band fährt stilecht mit mehrstimmigen Gesängen auf, wobei jeder der einzelnen Musiker mal
als Hauptsänger agiert. Kontrabass, Saxophon, Gretsch-Gitarre und Vintage-Drum natürlich
inklusive!
Seit 2008 zählen Big Fat Shakin zu den Hausbands des Berliner Kultladens „Clärchens Ballhaus“.
Big Fat Shakin – an overdose of Rock n Roll, a firework of juicy Hits, a ridiculous show and irresistible enthusiasm on stage. The quartet presents Rockabilly, Rock n Roll, Surf and Rock Classics of the 50’s in an impressive way. With a certain touch of humor, Big Fat Shakin is moving its audience to dance along with their music. Since already 18 years and thanks to their huge variety, Big Fat Shakin is known for picking up each type of audience- doesn’t matter if they’re into Rockabilly or not. Everyone can feel the groove in its body which kind of forces someone to dance and sing along.
A concert of Big Fat Shakin is leaving nothing to be desired. Starting with the Classics of the 50’s,
up to Brian Setzer- Hits and even songs from Roxette and the Foo Fighters are on the menu to be
presented. With the right dose of energy, fun and stage-fever, they like to connect musical styles
with each other and this is what’s also demanding the audience. Such as they did on their last album
“Woatamakaa” (2019), which is packed only with their self-composed songs. “Woatamakaa” is
embracing the taste of Rockabilly, Soul, Rock, 60’s Beat and even some punk swing!
The Band is offering several voices singing, as this is a typical characteristic of the 50’s and 60’s
music style. Each musician is taking over the main vocals as well as the background singing, which
gives another diversity. Double bass, saxophone, Gretsch-guitar and a vintage drum set are
inclusive – of course! Since 2008, Big Fat Shakin belongs to the house bands of the legendary
“Clärchens Ballhaus” in Berlin.
